NEMA

NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) is a U.S.-based trade association representing electrical equipment and medical imaging manufacturers. NEMA develops technical standards, publishes guidance and toolkits, and advocates on public policy and regulatory issues affecting the electroindustry. The organization provides broad industry resources such as standards and technical works, product section guidance across wiring, cabling, enclosures, power distribution, lighting, transformers, automation, and utility systems, as well as focused initiatives on smart grid, microgrids, EV charging, and emergency preparedness. NEMA also delivers training and education via the NEMA Academy, webinars, conferences, and workshops to support member companies and stakeholders. Through councils, committees, and coalitions, NEMA facilitates collaboration among manufacturers, government, and other stakeholders, and promotes industry best practices for safety, interoperability, and reliability. The association runs events, certification-oriented activities, and member services that support industry promotion, workforce development, and technical adoption across manufacturing, utilities, healthcare technology, transportation systems, and building infrastructure sectors.
