Dynamics 365 CRM Pricing: Every Edition Explained [2026]

Dynamics 365 CRM pricing is per user per month, by app and edition. Microsoft licenses the Customer Engagement (CE) apps separately, so an organisation pays only for the apps each user needs: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights or Contact Center. This page sets out the list price of every CE edition as of 2026-09-12, sourced to Microsoft's own pricing pages.

This is the canonical TDP pricing guide for the Dynamics 365 CRM (Customer Engagement) apps specifically. For the broad, all-app "Dynamics 365 pricing" question, see our general Dynamics 365 pricing guide; this page owns the CRM-pricing intent.

How Dynamics 365 CRM Is Priced

Microsoft prices each CE app per user per month, paid yearly, in edition tiers. The model is app-and-edition based, not a single CRM seat: a salesperson is licensed for Sales, a support agent for Customer Service, a technician for Field Service. Users who need to work across apps can be licensed for more than one. Two apps sit outside the per-user model: Customer Insights is priced per tenant, and Contact Center is a standalone contact-center product with its own pricing.

Customer Insights Pricing

Customer Insights is priced per tenant, not per user. Microsoft lists the base plan at $1,700 per tenant per month, paid yearly, for 100,000 Unified People and 10,000 Interacted People. For organisations with a qualifying Dynamics 365 application, the Customer Insights Attach plan is $1,000 per tenant per month. Additional capacity is sold in packs: Unified People capacity packs (100,000 Unified People) and Interacted People capacity packs (5,000 Interacted People), with tiered pack prices listed on Microsoft's page.

CRM Pricing Variants and How to Compare

Two practical points when comparing quotes:

  • Compare the same edition and term. Microsoft prices "per user/month, paid yearly"; monthly billing and multi-year commitments differ.
  • Compare the same app mix. A Sales Enterprise seat and a Customer Service Professional seat are different products at different prices.

For the broad, all-app pricing question (including ERP apps such as Business Central and Finance), see our general Dynamics 365 pricing guide and the Dynamics 365 cost guide.

How to Reduce Licensing Cost

The main lever is edition right-sizing: license the lowest edition that covers each role's required capabilities, and add higher editions only where the features are needed. Because the CE apps are licensed separately, organisations can mix editions and apps by role rather than buying one CRM seat for everyone. Microsoft's licensing terms and edition entitlements are set out in the Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide, September 2026; confirm current terms with Microsoft or a partner before contracting.
